Andy, the Wales Outdoors owner, will be at Ogmore for a full day on Sunday July 29th and he'll be leading a daytime adventure walk in the intertidal zone followed by a coasteering session in the early evening. You can choose to book onto one or both!
BEACH CAVE CLIFF ADVENTURE WALK
Between a half and a full day, so a four hour session, not walking too far, but truly exploring the intertidal zone between Ogmore and Southerndown - so a tide out beach walk/rocky scramble. We will visit walk in caves and for those that want to give it a go have a scramble through some gaps and connections that link a couple of them together. The limestone cliffs are spectacular from this viewpoint and the walk is truly memorable. We'll likely go for a swim half way along this route and as we're far away from the crowds (nobody else will be nearby or walking this route) we're thinking bathers optional!
When we get to Southerndown we can chill on the rocks before heading back along the cliff tops to Ogmore. You will need snacks, a torch if you have one, clothing suitable for the conditions forecast for the day, sun cream and bathing costumes if you really must ;)
Andy will be leading an evening coasteering session directly after we get back to the cars so do stick around for more if you want to.
This walk is being priced at twenty pounds as we are restricting numbers due to the hazardous nature of walking at cliff bottom in a race against the tide...

This is absolutely my favourite adventure activity. I mean, who cannot like a session in the ocean with some thrills, spills and jumps :)
And the venue is dramatic and beautiful and unusual.
I have developed this session over a twenty year period and know the area better perhaps than anyone else. We will kit up with wetsuits and boots and other PPE then head off for a short walk before entering the water and going for some traversing, maybe a short swim, a climb, maybe a cave exploration and we finish with some jumps.
All of the activities are avoidable and, as we are not in the army, you can pick and choose what you want to join in with on the day, but, suffice to say most people do most things apart from he BIG jump. This is a bit of a leg trembler and you go for it if you want to. The good thing about this session is that we start small, just a foot or two to begin with. This acclimatises you to the jumping and you stop at a height that you want to.
