It's the summer holidays and schools are out and families are heading off to the wilder parts of the UK for camping and farmhouse holidays and some adventures to wow the kids.
Wales Outdoors provide a range of activities for family groups and children of all ages. A recurring favourite is Gorge walking and recently we ran a half day in the gorge for three family groups.
We met at the car park at Dinas Rock and got a fine group photo before heading off to the shocker - they wanted a wet start to the day.
Gorge walking is better described as river scrambling and there was much use of the rock and clinging on to it.
There are a few key elements to our family gorge walk session and one is 'Timotei'. a hair washing exercise.
We then moved on up through the cascade and so onto the top pools where there are a range of jumps and swims.
All had a fabulous time as you can see from the smiles on the faces.
